Sun Simiao,a native of Beijing Zhaohua Yuan(now Yao County,Shaanxi Province)in the Tang Dynasty.He went to school at the age of seven and could recite thousands of words every day.When he grew up,he was good at talking about the doctrines of the old,Zhuang and hundreds of families.When Emperor Xuandi was later,due to political disturbance,he lived in seclusion in Taibai Mountain,learning to refine qi,nourish his body,and seek otherworldly immortal arts.He was well versed in the literary calendar and the number of techniques for observing the sky,especially skilled in medicine and medicine.He was also kind-hearted and did things in order to accumulate yin morality.On the one hand,he concentrated on cultivating his own origin,and on the other hand,he took it as merit to help people and save things.One day,he accidentally went out and saw someone trying to kill a small green snake on the road.The snake was wounded and was bleeding.Sun Simiao hurriedly implored the pedestrians to stop,and immediately took off his clothes to redeem the small snake,applied medicine to it,and released it into the grass.

After more than a month,Sun Simiao went out again and met a young man in white,with many attendants and horses.The young man dismounted and came to thank Sun Simiao,saying,"My younger brother was saved by the Taoist priest,and my parents want to see you."Sun Simiao saved many people,but he didn't remember it,and he didn't take it seriously when he heard it.The young man thanked him sincerely again,and Simiao had no choice but to get on the horse he had prepared and drive with him.The horse was flying,and he arrived at the manor later.There were flowers and trees in the spring,the scenery was peaceful and bright,the door was as new as new,and it was very imposing.The characters were both numerous and imposing,and it looked like the mansion of the prince.

The young man asked to think inside,and saw a dignified and handsome man,wearing a white hat,wearing a river-colored robe,followed by many attendants.Seeing Simiao,he happily came to greet him,and thanked him:"I miss the Taoist priest very much,so I sent a child to greet him.Not long ago,my child accidentally went out and was suddenly hurt by a fool.It was all up to you to take off his clothes and save his life.There are many of our relatives here,and we are all grateful to Mr.for his rebirth.It is an honor to meet the Taoist priest today!"After a while,Simiao was invited to enter the inner hall.It seemed to be the inner house of the palace.Seeing a middle-aged woman,she led a child in green clothes out and thanked him again and again:"This child was dumbfounded and wounded,and the Taoist priest saved him from death."Only then did she remember that she had saved a little green snake,and she couldn't help but ask:What is this place?Seeing that the eunuchs and maids were serving on the left and right,and the maids who wore white hats were called"kings,"and the middle-aged women were called"concubines."She was very surprised,so she quietly asked the people around her,"What place is this?"She replied,"This is Jingyang Water Mansion."It turned out that the"king"was the Dragon King of Jingyang.The Dragon King invited guests and subordinates,arranged a banquet,played music,and entertained Sun Simiao.After thinking about it,he said that he was taking out of the valley and could only drink a few glasses of wine.

After spending three days in the Water Mansion,the Dragon King asked Sun Simiao what he wanted to thank him for.Sun Simiao replied,"I live in the mountains and I only like to cultivate Taoism.I meditate on immortals to exercise my body and spirit.Although I see all kinds of things in my eyes,I have no desire in my heart."The Dragon King gave him beautiful light silk and precious beads and gold,but Simiao refused to accept it.The Dragon King said,"The Taoist priest doesn't take them seriously,but how can I repay you?"So he ordered his son to bring thirty prescriptions hidden in the Dragon Palace and give them to Simiao,saying,"You are a true man of the Tao,and you can help the world and save people with them."So he prepared his servant horse and sent Simiao back to the mountain where he lived.

Simiao was very surprised at what he encountered,and tried to use the thirty medical prescriptions to cure the disease,and the effect was very wonderful.Later,he compiled the thirty volumes of"Thousand Golden Recipes"and compiled the Dragon Palace Recipes into the book.

"The Thousand Gold Recipe"is a famous work of physicians through the ages,which has benefited the world innumerable.Sun Simiao was a successful cultivator,and his medical career was excellent.He saved countless people,so he was respected by the people as the king of medicine.In his hometown Yaoxian County,people built a temple to commemorate him.The mountain where the temple is located is called the Medicine King Mountain,and the surrounding people still spread the story of the intersection between the Medicine King and the Dragon King.
