A shepherd's experience of seeing the dragon

Villagers used to have no rules for herding sheep, and wherever there was grass, it was pasture. As long as they didn't waste other people's crops, no one bothered to care who was herding sheep where.

Later, the state had a policy, and a considerable part of the mountain land was returned to forest, and Dashan Mountain behind the village was also designated a protected area, which is what the villagers called a protected forest. The state stipulates that sheep are not allowed in the protected forest area.

Due to the policy, many people in the village have started raising sheep in captivity, but the captive sheep cost a lot of feed, so some people are still willing to drive the sheep out and release them.

No sheep are allowed on the mountain, so where do people herd sheep? Only Heilonggou on the Shandong side of the mountain.

There is a stream at the bottom of the Heilonggou all year round, and when it is driest, it still gurgles. The water and grass in the ditch are lush, but the mud is not easy to walk through.

When there is heavy rain in summer, the rainwater flowing down the mountains on both sides converges at the bottom of the ditch into a torrent, and from time to time, it will wash away people and animals active in the ditch.

Therefore, in the past, when Dacheng Mountain could herd sheep, no one was willing to come to Heilonggou to herd sheep.

Now Dacheng Mountain is not allowed to herd sheep, and some courageous and troublesome villagers will also go to Heilonggou to herd sheep.

The old man in the village has been a restless person all his life, but he is also a big sheep farmer. Others are afraid of heavy rain and dare not go to Heilonggou to herd sheep, so they are not afraid of nonsense.

Hu Lai is quick-witted and an old shepherd. He often says to others: There are sheep intestines on the cliffs on both sides of Heilonggou. When the weather is bad, just catch the sheep up the cliffs to avoid them. What are you afraid of?

Die the bold, starve the timid.

Hulai sheep eat weeds in Heilonggou every day, and their fur is bright and round, which is much better than the price of captive sheep.

Once Hu came to Heilonggou to herd sheep. At noon, the clouds in the mountains around the ditch began to gather together, which meant that there was a rainstorm.

It's not that Hu Lai does not know how to look at the sky, but he is a little conceited, thinking that even if thunder starts, he can rush to the cliff before the rain falls.

At that time, it was the yellow sky in June, and the weather changed as it was said. Hu Lai dragged and smoked a roll of dry smoke, and the sky was already dark clouds rolling and thunder rumbling.

Hu Lai saw that it was really going to rain, so he didn't dare to delay any longer. He quickly waved his whip to catch the sheep up the sheep intestines trail on the side of the ditch.

He was familiar with the topography of Heilonggou. He knew he had to take shelter from both rain and thunder before the rainstorm. There was no more suitable place than Eagle Cliff.

Eagle Calling Cliff is the highest cliff on the side of Heilonggou. On Eagle Calling Cliff, there are several naturally formed stone caves. Although these stone caves are not deep, they are very wide.

The rain this time was a little strange. Hu Lai drove the sheep up Eagle Cliff in a panic and hid in the stone cave for a while. The sky was still closed with dark clouds, lightning and thunder, and not a drop of rain fell.

Hu Lai thought to himself: The situation of the rainstorm this day is very strong, and it doesn't look like a show at all, but why has it been thundering for so long, and it still doesn't rain?

He was anxious in his heart. If the rain dragged on until dark, he would be in big trouble. These dozens of sheep were not bundles of wheat, so he couldn't carry them out of the Black Dragon Ditch.

Thinking of this, Hu Lai felt irritable. He rolled a dry cigarette stick, took out a match, and lit the fire.

The match in Hu Lai's hand had just flashed, and before he could light the dry cigarette stick in his mouth, there was a deafening thunder in the sky, which only shook the dust in the stone cave.

Hu Lai was startled by the thunder, and with a shake of his hand, the match almost fell to the ground.

Accompanied by this thunder, the vegetation on the cliff opposite Hu Lai suddenly trembled, the boulders undulated, and a cloud of dust rose.

Hu Lai thought to himself: It hasn't rained yet, and the mountain opposite is about to collapse?

He was startled when the cliff suddenly made a loud noise, and huge stones as big as fans rose into the air, and the entire cliff collapsed at once.

Before Hu Lai could react, a huge dragon with a black body, long beard and naked eyes, and the thickness of a bucket suddenly appeared from the rolling boulder.

The dragon's scales shone brightly, and the horns on the top of the head were more than a meter long. Except for the color, there was no big difference from the golden dragon in the New Year's picture.

Hu Lai suddenly saw something he had never dreamed of in his dreams, and he was stunned at once. He stood motionless in the cave where the eagle called the cliff, and his breathing stopped.

The giant dragon rose into the air, its tail swung, and an earth-shattering noise came from the sky. In an instant, pouring rain fell from the sky, and Hu Lai's eyes were blurred by a thick rain curtain.

In the vagueness, Hu Lai only saw the giant dragon with its head raised and its tail wagging, flying towards the depths of the sky like an arrow from a string. It didn't take much effort, and it disappeared without a trace.

The rainstorm rained for half an hour, and just after the rainstorm stopped, the mountain flood galloped down Heilonggou again.

At this time, Hu Lai's family members were already anxious like ants on a hot pan, searching back and forth on the flood bank at the mouth of Heilonggou for a long time.

After dark, Hu Lai drove the sheep, walking one foot deep and one foot shallow in the silt towards the mouth of the ditch. When he reached the mouth of the ditch, he met the villagers who came to search and rescue.

Hu Lai and dozens of sheep were all rolling in the mud, and they couldn't tell their true colors for a long time. Hu Lai got cold and got sick after returning home.

Later, Hu Lai's sheep would never enter Heilonggou again. Hu Daring finally calmed down and mowed the grass and mixed the feed for the sheep every day, never going to herd the sheep again.

The villagers asked him, Hu Lai, why don't you go to Heilonggou to herd sheep?

Hu Lai said: The Black Dragon Ditch is controlled by the Black Dragon, can I be provoked by a mortal?

Others took him as a joke, but when he said this nonsense, he was always very serious. When someone teased him, he did not argue.

Said he saw a dragon? Who would believe it?
