Just because they envied the colorful life in the world, they were named Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing, and came to the West Lake to play.

But God suddenly lost his temper, and it rained heavily in an instant. Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing were drenched and had nowhere to hide. They were worried. Suddenly, they only felt that there was an umbrella over their heads. When they turned around, they saw a gentle, white and delicate young scholar holding an umbrella to cover them from the rain. Bai Suzhen and the little scholar looked at each other, and both blushed red in unison, and they developed love for each other. Seeing this, Xiaoqing hurriedly said, "Thank you! May I ask the guest's surname and name." The little scholar said, "My name is Xu Xian, and I live by this broken bridge." Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing also hurriedly introduced themselves. From then on, the three of them often met, and Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian's relationship got better and better. Not long after, they became husband and wife and opened a "Baohe Tang" pharmacy.

Due to the fact that "Baohetang" has cured many difficult diseases, and there is no money for dispensing medicines for the poor, the business of the pharmacy is becoming more and more prosperous, and more and more people come to Bai Suzhen for treatment from far and near. People affectionately call Bai Suzhen White Lady. However, the prosperity of "Baohetang" and the happy life of Xu Xian and White Lady annoyed one person. Who is it? This is the monk Fa Hai of Jinshan Temple. Because people's diseases have been cured by White Lady, there are many fewer people who go to Jinshan Temple to burn incense and ask for Bodhisattva. If the incense is not prosperous, the monk Fa Hai will naturally not be happy. On this day, he came to "Baohetang" again and saw that the White Lady was treating people. He couldn't help but feel jealous. It turns out that this white lady is not a mortal, but a white snake!

Although Fa Hai has a little magic, his mental magic is not right. After seeing the identity of the white lady, he wanted to break up Xu Xian and the white lady and bring down the "Baohe Hall" all day long. So he secretly called Xu Xian to the temple and said to him, "Your lady is transformed from a snake spirit, hurry up and break up with her, otherwise she will eat you!" When Xu Xian heard this, he was very angry. He thought, "My wife is kind-hearted and has a deeper affection for me than the sea. Even if she is a snake spirit, she will not harm me, not to mention that she is pregnant now, how can I abandon her! Seeing that Xu Xian was not fooled by him, Fa Hai was angry and locked Xu Xian in the temple. In the "Baohe Hall", the white lady was anxiously waiting for Xu Xian to come back. One day, two days, waiting left and right, the white lady was very anxious. Finally, she found out that Xu Xian had been "kept" by the monk Fa Hai of Jinshan Temple. The white lady quickly brought Xiaoqing to Jinshan Temple and begged Fa Hai to let Xu Xian go back. Seeing the white lady, Fa Hai sneered and said, "Bold demon snake, I advise you to leave the world quickly, otherwise don't blame me for being rude!" Seeing that Fa Hai refused to let him go, the white lady had no choice but to pull off the golden hairpin on her head, shake it in the wind, set off a huge wave, and rushed towards Jinshan Temple. Seeing the golden mountain of Shuiman Temple, Fa Hai quickly took off the cassock and turned it into a long embankment, blocking it outside the temple door. The water rose one foot, the long embankment was one foot higher, the water rose one foot, and the long embankment was one foot higher. No matter how big the waves are, they can't pass. Coupled with the fact that the white lady was pregnant, she really couldn't fight Fa Hai. Later, Fa Hai used a fraudulent method to put the white lady into the golden bowl and press it under the Leifeng Pagoda, which separated the loving couple of Xu Xian and the white lady alive.

Their stories are always inseparable from West Lake, Broken Bridge, and Leifeng Pagoda. Since then, a broken bridge on West Lake and a high tower by the lake have become part of people's unattainable love story.
