Empress Zhen was the Empress of Wei Wen Emperor Cao Pi. At first, Empress Zhen and Cao Zhi had a good relationship, but after Cao Pi became the King of God, he took Empress Zhen away, and not long after, Cao Pi snubbed Empress Zhen because he still had a new love, and finally gave Empress Zhen to death.
In the year of Zhen Hou's death, Cao Zhi went to Luoyang to see his brother sadly. Zhen Hou's crown prince accompanied his uncle Cao Zhi to have a meal. When Cao Zhi saw the crown prince, he remembered Zhen Hou's tragic death, and secretly shed tears. Cao Pi saw all this, and he also realized Zhen Hou's grievance, and thought he was a little sorry for her. After the meal, Cao Pi gave Cao Zhi the jade engraved gold pillow that was the relic of Zhen Hou. Cao Zhi saw things like seeing people, and his heart became more and more difficult. After thanking Emperor Wei Wen, he left the palace.
Cao Zhi took the jade-carved gold belt pillow back to his fief, left Luoyang City, walked a distance east, and came to the Luo River. Cao Zhi ordered the staff to stop and rest, and put the horses by the river to drink and graze.
Cao Zhi thought about the red sun setting in the west and the surging water flowing in the east. Suddenly, he saw a very beautiful woman rising slowly from the blue waves like a hibiscus, and came to the shore with the waves. Cao Zhi thought she was familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had seen her before, so he asked his entourage, "Have you caught a glimpse of the beautiful woman on the river bank?"
"No," the attendant replied.
"Here, right there!" Cao Zhi said, pointing to where the woman was standing.
"There's nothing there!" The attendant thought for a while and then said, "It is said that the Muse in charge of Luohe is called Luoshen, and ordinary people cannot see it. What the prince saw must be Luoshen."
After it was said, Cao Zhi walked to Luoshen, saluted and said, "Xianji must be Luoshen, Xiao Wang is polite!"
"I'm returning the courtesy here, Prince, don't come!"
"Don't come, okay? When will we part ways?"
"Has Your Highness forgotten about me?"
"It looks familiar, could it be that you are..." The more Cao Zhi looked at her, the more he thought she looked like Queen Zhen, but Queen Zhen was dead, how could she come here? He said confusedly, "Immortal Concubine looks like… Oh, no, no, no! Xiao Wang doesn't dare make trouble."
"Did the prince ever get my jade-carved gold belt pillow?"
"I got it! You really are the emperor's wife, Empress Zhen! why did you come here?" Cao Zhi asked in surprise.
"Alas, it's hard to say!"
Empress Zhen recounted how she had been framed by Concubine Guo, and then said: "The Jade Emperor thought I had died unjustly and named me the God of Luoshui. Because you and I have another unfinished fate, we can't pour it out in the palace, so we specially met here to end the relationship. That jade-carved gold belt pillow was something I was married to. I secretly influenced your royal brother, so he gave you the jade-carved gold belt pillow as a gift. Keep it as a memory! I'm afraid I won't be able to meet again in the future."
"I think I, Cao Zhikong, have a lot of money, and I was suspected by others. Now all my thoughts are grey, and I am willing to follow Xianji to guard the Luohe River.""" Cao Zhi said melancholy.
"Alas!" Luo Shen said with tears in his eyes, "It's a pity that you and I have a difference between immortals. When we meet now, it is also the moment of eternal art. There is an earring here, which is a gift for the prince. I hope the prince will take care of himself, and the little fairy will bid farewell!"
Luo Shen said, took off an earring and offered it to Cao Zhi. Cao Zhi took it with both hands, took off a jade pendant from himself, and handed it to Luo Shen with tears in his eyes: "Thank you for your generous gift from Xianji. There is nothing else around Xiao Wang to respect, only this jade pendant is with me day and night. I give it to Xianji at this moment, I hope Xianji will take care!"
Luo Shen took the jade pendant, turned around and stepped into the waves of the Luohe River, turned his head and glanced at Cao Zhi, and was wiped out in the waves.
Cao Zhi was in a trance, as if he was in a daze, not knowing whether it was real or dreamland. He just stared at Luohe in a daze until the attendant urged him to get on the bus, and he woke up suddenly.
Afterwards, Cao Zhi wrote an epiphany for this meeting, titled "Feeling Zhen Fu." After the death of Emperor Wei Wen, Emperor Ming succeeded to the throne. After seeing this epiphany, he felt that his uncle's masterpieces were all about his mother, which damaged the royal reputation. It was very unpleasant, so he changed the title to "Luo Shen Fu."
