During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, in Shifosi Village, south of Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, there was a man named Ren Ziming. Although his family was ordinary, he was kind-hearted and generous, and he was known as Le Shan Ren. One day, Ren Ziming and his fellow villagers were having a fast meal at an old man's house in the same village, where he met a Taoist priest who came to beg for food.

The Taoist priest looked about sixty years old, his face was full of dust, his ten fingers were black, his hair was still crawling with lice, and his robe was full of patches and holes. It was better to say that he was a beggar than a Taoist priest. When the others saw it, while dodging, they shouted: "If you stink of beggar, hurry up and leave, this is not the place for you to ask for food." Only Ren Zi was kind-hearted, not only did he not dislike it, but he gave his bowl of big fast rice to the Taoist priest to eat, and even chatted with the Taoist priest very speculatively.

After eating, the Taoist priest touched his stomach and smiled at Ren Ziming and said, "To be honest, I am a Taoist priest from Zhongnan Mountain. I am ninety-six years old, and I have traveled here. I am hungry and have come to beg for some fast food. I see that you are kind-hearted and don't think I am dirty, and you still invite me to eat. I want to repay your kindness. I have no other skills, so I will teach you the method of Taoist luck, which can make you live longer and be strong."

Only then did Ren Ziming know that the Taoist priest in front of him was nearly a hundred years old, but he only looked about sixty years old, so he was really a master of the Tao! So he hurriedly said to the Taoist priest, "I can't give you a bowl of rice, I can get your guidance, it is my good fortune. But there are many noisy people here, so it is better to come to my house and listen to your teachings after I serve tea." The Taoist priest laughed and went to Ren Ziming's house with Ren Ziming. After a cup of tea, he began to teach Ren Ziming the tricks and methods of practicing Taoist Xuanmen Qigong. Ren Ziming can read and write, and his memory is very good, so he quickly remembered these formulas.

When the Taoist priest saw that Ren Ziming had learned the formula and mental method of Qigong, he told Ren Ziming: "I have taught you the method of luck. In the future, you must practice hard, day and night, and forget all the worries of the world. When you practice qi, you must sit quietly and close your eyes, then inhale, let this breath go from your throat to your abdomen, then enter your dantian, then turn into Yongquan Point, then pass through Yongquan Point through your spine, and then go to Niwan Palace. Finally, take a slow breath, don't exhale too fast, and stick to it. After a long time, you will be able to break through the entrance, and the wind and rain will not invade.

At that time, Ren Ziming's wife had passed away, and the two of them had no children, so he had no worldly concerns in his heart. In order to cultivate, Ren Ziming specially built a thatched hut in a quiet place, where he would be guided every day to practice Taoism. After five or six months, Ren Ziming felt that his qi was long and could hold his breath for a few moments (less than an hour); after one year, he could hold his breath for one stick of incense; after three years, he could hold his breath for three sticks of incense without breathing, but no matter what, he could not hold his breath for a whole day.

One day, Ren Ziming was basking in the sun under the eaves while closing his eyes to luck. Suddenly, he seemed to hear the sound of the world cracking, and then he felt hot all over his body. He looked around and saw the mountains, rivers and the earth exuding a five-colored divine light. At this time, Ren Ziming's expression was in a trance, and it was only in the evening that he returned to normal. Ren Ziming knew that he had achieved success in Taoism and had broken the entrance. From this day on, Ren Ziming felt an aura circulating between Niwan Palace (top of his head) and Yongquan Point (soles of his feet), and he did not need to breathe or feel uncomfortable. He had reached the realm of "the breath of a real person with the heel (Yongquan Point) " as Zhuangzi said.

After Ren Ziming  mastered Qigong, he could take a cold shower in winter and not be afraid of the cold. In summer, he would not be afraid of the heat by leaning on the stove, and he would be able to sleep while sitting. He would not fall over all night and would not feel tired.

Ren Ziming agreed with a smile and let the rogue bind his hands without resistance. Then, he was put into a wooden box by the rogue and thrown to the bottom of the water. A day later, Ren Ziming was salvaged, and apart from his clothes being soaked, he was actually unharmed.

When Ren Ziming lived to be in his nineties, he, who had always liked to live in seclusion and solitude, suddenly visited his relatives and friends, and soon after sat peacefully in the hut. At that time, it was a hot summer, and Ren Ziming's body was parked in the house for seven days before being buried by his relatives. There was no sign of decay at all.
