Thinking of this, she hurriedly went to the sixth aunt: "Brother Gui Gen asked you to deliver the baby, how much did he give you?" Sixth Aunt replied: "Two hundred taels of silver." The sister-in-law stuffed another two hundred taels of silver, put her head in Aunt Sixth's ear, and whispered.

On the day Gui Gen's wife gave birth, the sister-in-law came to Gui Gen's room and said, "Sister-in-law, you have to close your eyes hard when the baby is born, so you can eat less hardship." Gui Gen's wife thought it was reasonable, so she quickly closed her eyes when she gave birth. Sure enough, the baby was born soon. Only a "wow" sound was heard, and there was no more sound. After a while, she opened her eyes and asked Sixth Aunt, was it a boy or a girl? Sixth Aunt replied, "It was a freak who was born, and it was lost!" She was so shocked that she almost fainted.

Is there anything famous here? Yes! Gui Gen's sister-in-law was greedy for money and wanted to occupy Gui Gen's family property. She gave Sixth Aunt two hundred taels of silver just to do this trick. Obviously, Gui Gen's wife gave birth to a white and fat boy, but she cruelly strangled the child to death, and then asked the sixth aunt to lie to Gui Gen's wife that she had given birth to a freak, and tied the child up in her purse and threw it into the wilderness.

Who knew that all this was seen by an old yellow dog who was breastfeeding in the Gui Gen family. Gui Gen's sister-in-law walked on her front foot, and she carried the purse into the dog shed on her back foot. The old yellow dog bit off the rope, opened the purse, and put the child on the ground to lick all over. Fortunately, the child was not strangled to death.

After three days, Gui Gen collected the bill and went home. As soon as he walked into the house, the old yellow dog barked at his owner. Gui Gen thought the dog was hungry, so he gave it something, but the dog didn't eat it, so it barked. Gui Gen got bored, so he kicked the dog and went into the house to see his wife. The old yellow dog didn't give up, so he rushed up and grabbed his clothes and pulled them out desperately. Gui Gen didn't know it was strange, so he followed it to the dog shed. Only to hear the cry of a child inside, he followed the reputation and saw a naked child in the corner of the dog shed, crying vigorously. Gui Gen quickly bent down and carried the child into the house. The wife sadly told her husband that she had given birth to a freak. As soon as Gui Gen heard it, he felt something was wrong. At this time, the old yellow dog came to the owner with the purse again. Gui Gen opened it and saw a rope inside, which made him even more suspicious. Gui Gen quietly hid the purse and rope and said to his wife, "You gave birth to a freak, and now that I have found a boy, let's raise him as our own son." The wife nodded in agreement.

The next day, Gui Gen gave four red eggs and two bowls of noodles to each family in the neighborhood, but not to his sister-in-law. The sister-in-law learned that she went to the county office to tell Gui Gen and his wife that Gui Gen had taken a child fed by a yellow dog. Isn't that an obvious insult to her, a widow and her biological nephew? As soon as the county official heard that he was reasonable, he ordered someone to bring the Gui Gen and his wife to the hall indiscriminately, and each played twenty big boards. The couple was wronged and went home crying and said to the old yellow dog, "Yellow dog, what should the county official do if he doesn't believe dogs can feed children?" The yellow dog barked three times at them "woof woof woof woof."

A day later, the county official told Gui Gen and his wife to take the child to court. Gui Gen said to the county official, "This child is indeed fed by a dog." After saying that, I saw an old yellow dog running down the hall to milk the child and bring his purse to the county official. The county official felt something was wrong, so he asked someone to send the person to court. The sixth aunt had never gone through such a battle, so she was so frightened that she had to confess honestly. The truth came out, and the county official immediately took down the sister-in-law and sixth aunt.

The Guigen couple happily returned home with their biological child in their arms and asked the most famous tailor in the area to make a hat for the child, modeled after the old yellow dog guarding the door. Hence the name "dog head hat".

Later, people felt that the dog head hat was lively and cute when worn on children's heads, so they learned to do it one after another. Therefore, the dog head hat gradually became a hat that children loved to wear.
