"Do you want this fish?" A farmer appeared beside the prefect, "If you don't want it, I'll take it away."

The prefect waved his hand and said, "Take it away, I don't want it. Is this fish edible?"

The farmer said, "You are an outsider. To tell the truth, this fish is delicious."

The prefect was a little greedy when he heard that. The farmer fished for the fish and said, "We have an unwritten rule here that whoever comes first will get the fish. Today you gave me the fish, and I will treat you to eat the fish."

The prefect nodded again and again. Soon they arrived at the farmer's house. The farmer asked the prefect to drink water first and went to work himself.

The prefect looked over and saw that the farmer was holding a pearl in his hand. He hurriedly asked, "Where did you find it?"

The farmer said, "In the belly of the fish." The prefect said, "It looks like a pearl. Let's see if there are still any in the belly of other fish."

The prefect divided a piece and stopped eating the fish. He rushed back to Baoding Mansion that day and reported the matter to the governor of Zhili.

The governor of Zhili opened his mouth wide, this matter is too evil, no, you have to see it for yourself.

He asked the prefect to lead the way to Fishbone Cave Spring, and happened to run into the farmer again. The prefect hurriedly walked over and asked, "Do you still recognize me?"

When the farmer saw the prefect in an official uniform, he knelt down in fright: "My lord atonement, the villain did not know it was my lord who came yesterday."

The prefect helped the farmer up and asked the farmer to finish fishing for the fish. He took out a dagger and said, "Disembowel these fish." The farmer does not dare to neglect, but there are no pearls except the internal organs of the fish bubble. The governor of Zhili's face sank, and he looked coldly at the prefect and said, "Why not?"

The prefect said, "I saw it with my own eyes yesterday."

"Look, there's another fish." The farmer suddenly pointed at the Fishbone Cave Spring and called out.

The prefect hurriedly called, "Go, fish it up, and then cut it open to see."

After the farmer fished out the fish, he cut open the fish's belly, and a pearl the size of a thumb rolled out. The prefect saw the savior and said, "My lord, please look."

The Governor of Zhili looked at the pearl, then looked at the Fishbone Cave Spring, waved his hand and said, "Come on, take care of the Fishbone Cave Spring, and don't let anyone approach until I come back."

In this way, the governor of Zhili took the three pearls and went to the capital overnight. The next day, he reported the matter to Empress Dowager Cixi.

Cixi looked at the governor of Zhili expressionlessly and asked, "Is this really true?"

The Governor of Zhili said: "I saw it with my own eyes, how dare I deceive the Buddha Lord? Now, I have ordered the closure of the Fishbone Cave Spring. If the Empress Dowager does not believe it, you can check it yourself."

Cixi didnot say anything, looked at the three pearls for a long time, and then said: "Are you going to 'King Chen Sheng 'in Zhili Province? Before Chen Sheng rebelled, he stuffed a note with' King Chen Sheng 'into the belly of the fish to deceive the crowd. I just finished' Righteousness and Fist 'in the Qing Dynasty, and it only stopped for a few days, don't you think it's suspicious?"

The governor of Zhili trembled in fright, and hurriedly knelt down and said, "Old Buddha, these two things cannot be compared. This... this fish has pearls in its belly, and I think it is auspicious."

Cixi looked at the nervous Governor of Zhili and laughed: "That's reasonable, it can't be compared." It's all caused by the boxing bandits, which makes the family suspicious." Okay, get up.  My family has also been bored in the capital for the past few days. You can go and have a look tomorrow.

The next day, Cixi brought a few ministers and followed the governor of Zhili to Baoding Mansion. After staying overnight, the next day, before dawn, a large group of people came to Yugu Cave Spring.

As expected, just after the dawn of time, a few fish emerged from the spring. Cixi was surprised and delighted. She had long heard that there was such a landscape in the Fishbone Cave Spring, and today she finally saw it with her own eyes. The governor of Zhili hurriedly ordered the farmer to fish, to open the belly of the fish in front of Cixi to get pearls.

The farmer dared not hesitate and ran over to fish the fish. Just as he took out his dagger and was about to start, Cixi said, "Wait a minute! I can't bear to watch these murders. Xiao Li Zi, you can take a look on my behalf of me." After saying that, the palanquin man turned the palanquin in a direction and didnot face the scene.

Li Lianying hurriedly walked over and supervised the whole process. The farmer seemed a little nervous, swallowed his saliva, and began to move. As the fish's belly was cut open, a pearl appeared inside. Li Lianying was overjoyed and turned around and called, "Buddha Lord, pearls are born."

Cixi was not happy, but frowned and said, "Order him to cut another one."

The second fish was cut open, and Li Lianying called out again: "Go back to Lafayette, another pearl is born."

Cixi's face became even uglier, and she asked the governor of Zhili: "I heard your report two days ago that pearls were born after you and the prefect of Baoding cut open several fish bellies. But why did I come to the family, but there were pearls everywhere? Did you wait for your partner to deceive the family?"

The governor of Zhili hurriedly replied, "The old Buddha is overthinking it. Think about it, you are the grandmother of the Son of Heaven, and you can be called the Dragon Ancestor. When these fish saw the Dragon Ancestor coming, they naturally had to rush to offer treasures, so they all had pearls in their bellies. How can ordinary people like me have such good fortune?"

When Cixi heard this, her face eased and she said, "Is that so? Well, let's cut another one."

The belly of the third fish was cut open, and Li Lianying shouted: "Old Buddha, there are fish offering pearls again!"

Cixi was already smiling and cheering. Seeing this, the governor of Zhili fell to his knees with a plop and shouted loudly, "Lord Buddha, I suddenly had an epiphany just now. The pearls in the belly of this fish actually indicate that my Qing Dynasty will be peaceful and the people will be safe, and the four seas will return to my heart."

Cixi said, "How do you say that?"

The governor of Zhili said: "The fish can be said to have more than one year. It is a sign that my Qing Dynasty will have smooth weather and more than one year in a row. And the pearls are dazzling, and they are hidden in the belly of the fish, like a saint hanging down and ruling the world. Today's saint is you, Lord Buddha. This is really a fish belly with pearls hidden in it, auspicious water descending from the sky, Empress Dowager Shengming, and the Qing Dynasty Yongchang!"

As soon as these words came out, everyone around them knelt down on the ground and shouted: "The pearl is hidden in the belly of the fish, the pearl is dropped from the sky, the empress dowager is holy, and the great Qing Yongchang!"

The farmer had never seen this battle before. He shivered involuntarily in fright, and a pearl rolled from his sleeve to the ground. He quickly glanced around and saw that no one was paying attention.

In fact, there is no such thing as "fish belly hidden pearls", all of which was arranged by the governor of Zhili. The governor of Zhili knew that since the eight-nation coalition army captured Beijing half a year ago, the Qing Dynasty had been precarious and precarious. After Cixi returned from her escape, she was at a loss for anything to do about it. So the governor of Zhili was anxious about Cixi's urgent needs and took advantage of the natural wonders of Fishbone Cave Spring to personally direct this big play of "fish belly hidden pearls" - let the governor of Baoding visit Fishbone Cave Spring privately. After meeting the farmer, he took advantage of the opportunity to help the farmer, stuffed the pearl into the belly of the mermaid, and then coerced and lured the farmer, and co-starred the scene together.

Cixi was not stupid, and she understood that it was fake as soon as she heard it, but she couldn't understand why the Governor of Zhili wanted to sing this play, so she used the "King Chen Sheng" thing to insinuate "the pearl in the belly of the fish". When she understood that the Governor of Zhili wanted to use God's will to maintain the rule of the Qing Dynasty, she happily joined the play. Only then did she tacitly understand that the one-song and one-to-one play reached a climax, and the effect was really good!

The play was finally over, Cixi returned to Beijing, and the governor and prefect of Zhili returned to Baoding Mansion. After the farmer got the money, he couldn't find anyone. And the local people flocked to Cixi and others after they left, and found that in addition to some more horse manure and a few dead fish, they also found several shrimp. People were surprised: there are pearls in the belly of the fish, even if it is auspicious sky drop, but I have never seen shrimp coming out of the Fishbone Cave Spring. What's the matter?

This question was not revealed until the establishment of the Republic of China and the farmer returned. It turned out that the farmer didn't want to act in this play at all, and if he didn't act, he would lose his head, so he wanted to let the pearls and shrimp in the belly of the fish appear in front of Cixi, in order to imply that Cixi was "blind (shrimp) tossing", fake, but who knew that Cixi asked Li Lianying to come and supervise. And Li Lianying's first sentence after coming was: "Act well, make sure to make Lafayette happy." So these shrimp were not used, and ended up being thrown there by the farmer...
